No.	Reason	Meaning	Bible Verse
To grow closer to God	Church helps us grow in faith, prayer, and understanding of God’s Word.	“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” James 4:8
To worship God together	There is power and joy in gathering with others to worship the Lord.	“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” Psalm 95:6
To hear and learn God’s Word	Church strengthens us through biblical teaching and spiritual truth.	“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
To receive strength and encouragement	Church reminds us that we are not alone in our walk with God.	“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” Hebrews 10:24 to 25
To belong to God’s family	Church is a place of love, fellowship, and spiritual belonging.	“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.” Ephesians 2:19
To serve with purpose	Serving the Lord gives meaning, joy, and eternal value to life.	“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
To use your gifts for God’s glory	Each person has something valuable to offer in God’s house.	“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another.” 1 Peter 4:10
To grow in love and unity	Church teaches us to care for one another and walk in love.	“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:34-35
To shine in the community	The church is called to bring hope, light, and help to others.	“Ye are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14
To prepare for eternity	Serving God now prepares us for the life to come.	“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.” Matthew 6:33

Abbey Wood Church is a place to worship, grow, serve, and belong. We warmly invite you to join us and experience the love of God, the power of His Word, and the blessing of Christian fellowship.
