Regional Overseer & Senior Pastor Raymond A. Veira, Snr & Sister Jeanette Veira

cogop_raymond_veiraPastor Ray, as he is affectionately known, is the epitome of a man who has risen to the challenges of being a modern day minister of the Gospel of Christ.

He committed his life to God at the age of 21 and from that moment he has never looked back. Raymond has a passion for God, demonstrated through his uncompromising approach to the teaching and preaching of the Gospel. Over the past 30 years, he has served in various roles in preparation for his role as Senior Pastor for the House of Praise, Bristol and Co-Regional Overseer for the churches in the South West and Wales region.

Pastor Ray currently serves as Chaplain at the Bristol Crisis Centre, and has been actively involved in the development of an innovative partnership between the Church of God of Prophecy and the Baptist Union. Pastor Ray sits on a number of committees and local boards that have social action at their heart – two of which he serves as Chair – and he firmly believes that the church must stand against the negative impact of materialism, narcissism, power and autonomy in favour of spirituality, interdependence, and community.

Pastor Ray also sits on the CoGoP (UK) Board of Executives and serves as an Executive and Trustee for the Hackney Community Transport Group (HCT). Raymond is a committed family man. He has been married for over 30 years to his wife Jeannette who is actively involved in preaching and teaching within the local church. They have been blessed with two wonderful sons Raymond Junior, who is married to Anne and Adryan.
